Weapon Safety Rules

Whether you’re playing with air guns, bb guns, pellet guns, rifles, nerf guns, etc. its important to be safe because you can hurt yourself or other by not handling firearms correctly.

Here are a few weapon safety rules taught to me, and other resources where you can find safety tips.

Here are some of my weapon safety rules, as taught by my Marine father. Use these to safely handle weapons, whether they are real weapons or bb guns, pellet guns, rifles, air rifles, etc.

Remember the acronym TNKK.

  • TREAT every weapon as if it were loaded.
  • NEVER point the weapon at anything you don’t intend to shoot.
  • KEEP your finger straight and off the trigger until you are ready to fire.
  • KEEP the weapon on SAFE until you’re ready to fire.
